Despite the fact that a blog is supposed to help with Search Engine stuff, I'm going to trust that readers may actually like to hear stuff about the boring (sometimes crazy) process and what I'm thinking about.

My latest expedition is to figure out how to get one of my books out of the Amazon "dungeon." That is where Amazon blocks your book from search and discovery - (aka Book Death). They do not let you know why it has been flagged, so you have to guess which of the Prude Triggers you flipped. The most common one is covers - you can show some skin, but not too much. and of course no genitals, or implied touching or kissing, even though titles like "Taking Daddy's Baby" is OK.  What the fock?

So look for "The Successor’s Seed" - the original cover had a man's hand on a woman's stomach - horrors! Now it's just a dark swollen (clothed) belly. Look through Romance/Erotica, and many of the covers have tattooed men with hard nipples, sweat and a bulge the size of a pumpkin.  But they pass the Prude screen.  blech!

Other writers warn about contacting Amazon to get the filter removed because it often causes a review of ALL your books. So I guess the general attitude is "Pay the ticket even if you weren't speeding."

OK, enough grumping. I have a new title on pre-order (and currently editing like crazy) "The Best Man's Gift: A Dark Interracial Lifestyle Novel" - part of the Blacked Wives series.
